Get Gonski 2.0 ready with UNSW Global Assessments

This week the Gonski 2.0 report was released, calling for sweeping changes across Australia's education system.

The report calls for improved tracking of individual student progress, and a focus on tailored learning. This will be supported by a revitalised approach to assessment programs.

Teachers across Australia are already using our assessment tools to track student progress and support the development of tailored teaching strategies.

For over 30 years, UNSW Global Assessments has been at the forefront of innovative assessment strategies in schools. Our suite of products allows teachers to identify students’ strengths, weaknesses and progress over time, providing rich data to inform targeted teaching strategies.

We provide opportunity for schools to build tailored learning programs to help students reach their full potential and enhance curriculum content.

Grammar Trial

UNSW Global is releasing a new online grammar and punctuation assessment in 2018. The assessment is a computer-adaptive test that provides educators with timely and rich diagnostic information about the grammar and punctuation skills of students in Years 3–6.

As part of the assessment development we are conducting a trial that will take place between Monday 16 October and Friday 20 October 2017.

UNSW Global is seeking expressions of interest from schools in Australia to participate in this trial. We will give priority to schools who are able to commit one class of at least 25 students each in two year levels from Years 2–6, particularly in Years 3 and 5. It is expected that each test will take approximately 45 minutes to complete.
