About GAT

GAT is released on 3 March 2017. Schools can use GAT at any time during the year up until February the following year, when a new version becomes available.

GAT covers Mathematics, Reading and Language and Writing.

GAT is designed specifically for students in the middle years of schooling visit www.eaa.unsw.edu.au/gat/year-level for year levels tested.

The test structure comprises 40 multiple choice questions for Mathematics, 40 multiple choice questions for Reading and Language and a Writing task.

GAT is a two hour assessment.

About Results

School and student reports are emailed to schools within 10 working days of the answer booklets being received at EAA for processing. Customised GAT papers need to be ordered 6 months prior to a sitting date.
