GAT PLUSGAT PLUS is a rigorous 2 ˝ hour assessment for schools that require more detailed information about the performance of students both generally and in relation to each of the core subjects.
Who is GAT PLUS for?GAT PLUS is aimed at students in the Middle Years (Years 6-8 Australia and Years 7-9 New Zealand), who are at a critical transition point in their education. It can be used as an assessment of new or existing students within a school, or to assess potential students applying to enter a school. GAT PLUS can be used as a secure test for scholarship purposes. It then becomes available for schools to use at their convenience for any purpose. It is suitable to use to test and re-test students to measure improvements in achievement over time. What will GAT PLUS tell me?GAT PLUS reports provide raw scores and a ranking for each student. They include descriptions of the skills and knowledge tested and show how each student performed on each question. They also provide information about the students’ skills in each of the core subject areas making it easy to identify students who have particular strengths. How much does GAT cost? (Australia)The cost is AUD 22.50 per student and a minimun order of ten students is required. The cost covers the supply of the test materials as a PDF file and the marking and reporting of results within 10 working days of receipt of the test books at EAA. When can we do GAT PLUS?In 2008, GAT PLUS will be available on 6 March. Schools wanting to use it as a secure test for scholarship purposes will be emailed the PDF of the test materials on that date. Schools wanting to use GAT PLUS for general assessment purposes can use it at any time from 6 March, and return the test books for marking at their convenience.
